The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the accounts payable (including expense reports and corporate credit card transactions) and some General Ledger booking.
This position will support other team members on year-end audit preparation as well as ad-hoc projects.
This is a “hands-on” role.
This is a three month contract assignment
What You'll Do:
Handle the Accounts Payable process including accurate AP invoice coding, obtaining proper authorization and preparing check runs.
Process corporate card transactions, audit receipts and obtain authorization for payment.
Review and process expense reports in Concur and ensure accuracy and compliance with the company’s T&E policy.
Assist Senior AP with AP accruals for month end close.
Handle vendor inquiries timely and professionally and maintain vendor’s files.
Maintain the system of Concur with the supervision of Senior AP.
Provide accounting support to other team members for month end close and help with ad-hoc projects as they arise.
Assist with year-end audit preparation in terms of AP/AR/GL for multiple entities.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work independently as well as a team member.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using an ERP system required (NetSuite highly preferred) and proficient in Microsoft Office suite software.
Required to be onsite in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, while Monday and Friday are work from home.
