We seek a passionate and dedicated AMI (Association Montessori Internationale), or AMS ( American Montessori Society) trained Montessori Guide to join our Casa dei Bambini School Palo Alto Campus team.
As an I-C Community Level Montessori Guide, you will be responsible for supporting, and creating a nurturing and engaging learning environments for children aged 1.
5-2.
5 years of age.
Responsibilities:
* Implement the Montessori method and curriculum in the classroom, following the principles established by Dr.
Maria Montessori.
* Prepare and maintain an organized and aesthetically pleasing Montessori environment, ensuring that materials are complete, accessible, and in good condition.
* Observe and assess each child's needs and development, providing appropriate guidance and support.
* Plan and present Montessori lessons and activities tailored to each child's specific needs and interests.
* Foster independence, self-discipline, and a love of learning in each child, encouraging them to explore their interests and develop their full potential.
* Promote social, emotional, and cognitive development through individual and group activities, promoting respect, cooperation, and empathy.
* Establish positive and effective communication with parents, regularly updating each child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
* Collaborate with other staff members, including assistants and support staff, to ensure a cohesive and harmonious learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with Montessori education's latest research and practices.
Qualifications:
* AMI I-C and/or AMS Toddler Montessori Diploma from a recognized AMI/AMS training center.
* Bachelor's.
* Master's Optimal.
* Previous experience working as a Montessori Guide at the toddler level is a must.
* A deep understanding and commitment to the Montessori philosophy and principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain a well-prepared Montessori environment.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs and interests of each child.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
