The Peninsula Jewish Community Center’s (PJCC) Camp KEFF has provided outstanding summer, fall, winter, and spring programs for youth from Preschool- grade 11 for more than five decades.
We provide a safe and nurturing environment where youth & teens can play and grow while loving their authentic selves.
Hundreds of campers attend our programs each year to enjoy our week-long sessions filled with Jewish values, inspired to make the world a better place! All our camps are accredited by the American Camp Association.
Camp Counselors are the heart of the Camp Keff programs.
Under the direction of the Camp Leadership Team, counselors work to ensure that each child feels welcome, safe, and loved at camp through their daily interactions with the children under their care.
Counselors will lead their group in fun activities and games.
Counselors will support specialists and work with other staff to execute special events at camp.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the emotional and physical safety of children
Resolve conflicts within the group as necessary
Planning and implementation of a variety of programs for campers
Work collaboratively with other staff
Support goals and spirit of Camp Keff programming
Uphold the mission and values of the PJCC and Camp Keff
Hours:
6:00pm – 7:00pm, Friday December 15, 2023 (paid training)
8:00 am – 4:45 pm, Monday – Friday, December 18 - 22, 2023
8:00 am – 4:45 pm, Tuesday – Friday, December 26 - 29, 2023
Salary: $721 - $836 per week (5 day).
Additional rate of $16.
50/hour for all extended care hours.
Free membership to the Athletic Center during the days in which you are contracted.

High school graduate or age 18+
Experience working with youth in Grades TK – 5, preferred
Passionate about working with youth and creating powerful experiences in a camp setting
Knowledge of Jewish culture a plus
Experience working in a camp setting a plus
Must be comfortable entering the pool to supervise children
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before start of employment
