Promptu seeks a talented, energetic software engineer to join our Menlo Park team.
Our flagship product "Viewfinder" allows users to easily select movies and television series to watch and find where to stream them.
You will work with smart, creative engineers to invent, deploy and maintain the company's next-generation content discovery, speech recognition and natural language understanding technologies.

We are seeking a creative, passionate individual with a minimum of two years software engineering experience and a demonstrated ability to write and maintain robust commercial-grade software in a production environment.
*Required skills and experience:*
* Degree in Computer Science or Machine Learning
* Minimum two years experience in commercial software development and maintenance
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain production systems in the cloud
* Experience solving difficult problems at scale
* Strong Python and Java coding skills
* Experience developing and deploying software on a Linux platform
* Ability to write efficient SQL queries
* A drive to ship continuous improvements with production-quality, fully unit-tested code
* Excellent written and oral English communication skills
*The ideal candidate will also have experience with some or all of the following:*
* Building, testing and deploying software in the AWS ecosystem
* C/C++ coding skills
* Shell scripting
* Experience using Pandas to manipulate large data sets
* Ability to apply machine learning tools to solve real-world problems
* Working knowledge of one or more machine learning frameworks
* Fluency in probability theory
You will report to the Director of Voice Technologies.
