Responsibilities
Write software to control prototype systems for development of Deepcell’s next-generation instrumentation
Collect and analyze experimental data to improve the overall system performance and troubleshoot potential issues
Work with data scientists to incorporate deep learning models for real time manipulation of cells and feedbacks
Characterize solutions for hardware stability, repeatability, and reliability through experiments and structured test plans
Interface with database systems and data warehouses to store and synchronize data
Work with other R&D engineers to support and participate in defining new designs and system requirements
Key Qualifications
MS or above in Computer Science or related fields
5+ years of experience of programming in C#, Java, C++ or Python towards releasing commercial products
Strongly proficient in object oriented programming (OOP) and in a multithreading environment
Writes fast, high-quality and clean codes for prototype systems
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment
Understand key physical phenomena which influence performances of the overall system
Versed in software engineering best practices (version control, code review process, unit testing, etc.
)
Ability to understand and execute on the company’s mission and values
Maintain a high degree of ethical standard and trustworthiness
Strong written and oral communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience in controlling hardware components
Experience or understanding of neural network and interfacing codes
Experience with database design, queries and communications
