Job Duties include (but are not limited to):
* Assisting with administrative duties as needed: answering and responding to patient communications (text, email, phone), prepping upcoming patient files, appointment scheduling, filling records requests, verifying and interpreting insurance benefits, preparing and sending referrals for patient care, processing insurance orders for reimbursement, etc.
* Checking in patients and performing examination pre-testing and medical history for each patient appointment
* Maintaining/cleaning of glasses and ophthalmic equipment/machines and exam room (cleaning, organizing, restocking)
* Training contact lens patients who are first-time wearers on proper insertion and removal of contacts
* Prepping patients for specialty procedures and assisting the doctor with treatments

This role works closely with our doctors in hands-on patient care.
We are looking to train the right charismatic individual for this role, so experience is preferred but not necessary.
Weekends required.
Certification as a Paraoptometric available after the first year and additional certification levels are obtainable which can lead to increased compensation.
