Job Description:
Summer associates work on a wide range of challenging legal assignments comparable to those of junior associates, typically including legal research, analysis and drafting.
Summer associates are invited to attend depositions, mediations, deal closings, client meetings, trials and other professional activities and events.
We also offer opportunities for our summer associates to engage in pro bono work.
Perkins Coie seeks summer associates who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership in and service to the community, and dedication to excellence in the legal profession.
Candidates must be currently enrolled students in good standing pursuing the degree of Juris Doctor at an ABA-accredited law school.
The application process will require and prompt you to attach your resume, law school transcripts, a writing sample (10-page max), and a cover letter explaining your areas of interest and geographical preference.

Patent Prosecution candidates for the Palo Alto office must have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science and/or a related field.
Applicants interested in Patent Litigation for the Palo Alto office must have a degree in engineering, computer science and/or a related field.
This position is not benefits-eligible; however, paid holidays are available.
Monthly compensation for California, New York, and Washington State is $17,917.
