Our Boutique Estate Law Firm seeks an experienced, full-time, in-office, Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping our firm provide tax, succession, estate planning, and trust administration services to our clients and be a valuable contributor to our team.
Responsibilities:
• Draft Living Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives, Special Needs Trusts, and Irrevocable Trusts
• Draft Incapacity, Probate, and Trust Administration documents
• Draft and file petitions with the Court
• Assist clients with collection, appraisal and distribution of assets
• Prepare client communications
• Prepare accounting, gift and estate tax returns
• Formation of entities such as Limited Liability Companies
• Perform legal research
Performance, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong ability to multi-task; detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Proactive team player, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, self-motivated and possess an initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; the position requires extensive professional contact with clients, court, county offices, supervisory attorneys and staff
• Must be able to effectively present public and private seminars/webinar
Preferences:
• 2+ years as an Estate Planning Attorney
• California Notary License or willingness to obtain
• Proficiency in Clio law firm management software
