Based in California, the Conflicts Coordinator will help to ensure our conflicts checking and clearing process is functioning efficiently and providing platinum service to our internal clients.
This position is responsible for upholding the standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, thoroughness, and customer service as defined and implemented by the Department.
The Coordinator will also responsible for conducting searches using Firm and third party research databases.
This role includes: 1) researching company information from external sources, 2) searching internal proprietary databases, and 3) selecting and analyzing the conflicts results while highlighting critical issues and communicating this information directly with firm partners.
This position reports to the Intake/Conflicts Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor the Conflicts Inbox to identify rush and high priority requests.
Coordinate with the team to assign and delegate requests.
Work with the other Coordinators to transition work among the team.
Ensure that requests are handled promptly, maintains workload and overall flow of requests.
Coordinate the Peer Review process to ensure promptness and accuracy.
Monitor the Inbox to ensure emails are filed correctly.
Communicate with Attorneys with regards to questions on the status of requests, how to list parties, how to update requests, etc.
Contribute to process, procedure, and technology improvements in order to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
Conduct special projects as assigned.
Ensure internal protocols and procedures are properly followed.
Assist in training new hires and communicating new protocols to the team.
Other tasks to assist the department as may be assigned by the Conflicts/New Business Intake Manager.
Data entry, search and analysis of conflicts data into the Firm’s conflicts and new matter intake systems in accordance with Firm policies and procedures.
Verifying that all conflicts reports are complete, consistent and accurate and adhere to established standards and procedures for all conflicts of interest searches performed Firm-wide.
Follow-up on conflict issues with Conflict Analysts, Partners, Intake/Conflicts Manager, Office of General Counsel as well as other Firm personnel as necessary.
Identify and escalate conflicts and unresolved issues to the Intake/Conflicts Manager, requesting attorney or Office of General Counsel.
Ensure accuracy in searching and reporting tasks.
Coordinate with Analysts and other team members in order to meet deadlines, time-sensitive issues and other challenges.

EXPERIENCE Four year college degree required.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Conflicts Analyst or Coordinator in a large firm preferable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as web based systems preferred.
Knowledge of, and experience using, CMS/Aderant, Dun & Bradstreet, and Hoovers a plus.

Compensation & Benefits: The annual compensation range for this position is $90-100k.
The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
