AJ Tutoring helps students to broaden their college options through professional one-on-one tutoring and counseling.
With a team of 300 employees spread across 16 locations in the Bay Area, we're committed to making a meaningful impact.
We are looking for a personable and experienced HR professional to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Your role will be pivotal in fostering a positive and trusting company culture and driving HR initiatives that support our employees and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities: Cultivate a positive and trusting company culture.
Manage the hiring process and collaborate closely with Senior Leadership to enhance onboarding and recruitment strategies.
Oversee the semi-annual review process to ensure continuous employee development.
Manage employee benefits and HR compliance.
Conduct internal compliance audits and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure adherence to evolving California labor laws.
Address workplace complaints and conduct internal investigations as necessary.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on fostering a respectful workplace, including developing and overseeing internal training programs.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication with various departments.
Evaluate and improve HR practices, processes, and programs to boost employee engagement and collaboration.
Implement HR metrics to assess and enhance organizational performance, demonstrating HR's strategic value to the company.
Required Skills and Experience: 2 years of HR experience Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
A solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Prior HR experience within California is highly desirable.
