_Join the YCS team and make a meaningful difference in the community through service learning!_ The Service Learning Coordinator for YCS Youth Connect Peer Leader program will work directly with high school youth in the community to coach and support them in realizing their community action project.
Projects are related to antiracism, sustainability, suicide prevention, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and public health.
The Coordinator will work with high school-aged youth across the midpeninsula area from Mountain View to Redwood City.
The Coordinator will be an essential part of YCS programs grounded in the YCS values of youth voice, equity, and meaningful community connection.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: * Bilingual preferred * Candidate will be responsible for their own transportation for fieldwork (with mileage reimbursement).
* All YCS staff members are required to submit a copy of their automobile insurance, CA driver’s license and a clean DMV record.
* All YCS staff members are required to submit results from a TB test and complete Live Scan fingerprint screening.
YCS will arrange tests at no cost.
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required at multiple sites that YCS works in.
A copy of your vaccine card will need to be submitted to YCS.

_Peer Leader Job Description Duties: - Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for adult learners.
- Collaborate with instructors to create engaging and interactive learning materials using Adobe Captivate.
- Write and present instructional content to peers in a classroom setting.
- Facilitate group discussions and activities to enhance learning outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to peers in understanding course materials and assignments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
- Assist with the evaluation and assessment of peer performance.
Experience: - Previous experience in content development or instructional design is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Adobe Captivate or other e-learning authoring tools.
- Knowledge of adult education principles and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
