In this role, the Vice President of HP Gaming PC Product Management will report directly to the Division President of Gaming Solutions, and is responsible for leading product portfolio strategy, planning, and launching for the entire HP Gaming PC Portfolio.
You will manage a team of product managers and leaders to shape the strategy for an extensive Gaming PC portfolio and standardize processes.
This Vice President must be able to define and execute portfolio strategies that meet the business needs and guide the teams to drive maximize impact using data and research.
This role requires a decent knowledge of the Gaming industry, the ability to communicate complex or abstract ideas clearly and succinctly cross-functionally, and the ability to build trusting and influential partnerships with senior executives across the broader HP organization.
The specific responsibilities of the role are as follows:
Key Responsibilities
Define the overall portfolio vision, strategy, product roadmap and go-to-market for HP Gaming PC
Lead the portfolio from end to end including ideation, innovative experiences development, technical solution development, strategic portfolio planning, the launch of innovative products, and product lifecycle management
Lead and craft strategic investment plan to drive business transformation and technical solutions that are differentiated and scalable to support the business goals
Scale profitable growth by delivering customer experiences and innovative solutions through a combination of HW, SW and services-centric portfolio design
Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment and create solutions
Actively engage with the GTM & Marketing teams to deliver the mid-term profitable growth objectives and capture the needs
Partner with the Marketing team to ensure the marketing strategies and initiatives are in line with the Gaming portfolio value proposition and have a complete 4P story
Partner with Markets to monitor market trends and competition, gather inputs from clients, partners, sales & category teams and make strategic tradeoffs that meet business objectives in the future portfolio and solution planning.
Build a strong customer-centric product management ethos and capability
Drive the overarch gaming portfolio strategy and cross PS GBU leverage of solutions where applicable
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent
15+ years experience in portfolio management, product management, technology, or relevant experience
Experience in gaming portfolio & product management, technology, or category is highly desirable.
Familiar with the computing ecosystem and technology
Knowledge and Skills
Superior understanding of product design and product management capabilities
Proven track record of delivering high quality gaming products that meet customer and business goals
Ability to communicate complex or abstract ideas clearly and succinctly
Understanding of the Gaming industry, market, and dynamics
Ability to strategically lead an ecosystem of contributors with a vision for the future.
Strong executive leadership and presence, including engaging at the executive level internally with cross-functional groups and presenting to senior executive audiences
