A Brief Overview The Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relations is a transformative leadership role within the health system, accountable for the strategic vision and execution of sourcing practices that drive optimal value and efficiency across Stanford Medicine (Stanford Healthcare, Stanford Childrens, Stanford Tri-Valley, Stanford Medicine Partners, Packard Children's Healthcare Alliance, and Stanford Blood Center).

This position is a key partner to tier 4 executives, medical directors, chairs, physicians, and leaders across the entities supporting system negotiations and cost reduction strategies.

CONTRACT NEGOTIATION AND MANAGEMENT: Lead complex contract negotiations, securing favorable terms that provide value and mitigate risk.

INNOVATION AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Drive innovation within the sourcing function by leveraging technology, analytics, and best practices.
Employ Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
VALUE ANALYSIS AND EXPENSE MANAGEMENT: Oversee a value base management and non-labor spend programs to ensure the selection of high-quality, cost-effective products and services.
Develop strategies for non-labor expense management, optimizing the organization's capital budget.
RISK MANAGEMENT: Develop and execute a supply chain risk management plan that includes disaster recovery processes.
Incorporate risk mitigation strategies into all aspects of sourcing and supplier management.
Education Qualifications Master’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience Qualifications Fifteen (15) years of professional experience in sourcing, with a deep understanding of strategic sourcing.
Seven (7) years of leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
Expert negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
Proficiency in strategic sourcing software and analytic tools, e.
