Primary Responsibilities
Patrol and maintain general security of assigned property as described in Post Orders for each assignment.
Respond to reasonable business-related customer service requests, which are security-related.
Work under the general supervision of the Site Supervisor, Field Manager, and Account Manager.
Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional interaction while on duty.
Maintain professional communication with clients and patrons.
Respond to emergency calls including medical, fire, and damage to property.
Use two-way hand-held radio to communicate with supervisors or other security officers.
Responsible for a designated building and/or patrol area.
Provides security presence and visibility throughout the client property.
Is a first responder in all building emergencies
Essential Functions
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Document briefing topics and keep records and logs as required.
Maintain and submit Daily Activity Reports (DAR), Incident/Accident Reports, and Hazard/Condition Reports.
Able to interpret, write, understand, and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions as needed
Ensures that all necessary equipment needed to perform all the required tasks is accounted for and in good working order
Answers multi-line phones systems, monitors radio transmissions, dispatches via two-way radio emergency and routine assignments to security officers, engineering and maintenance staff as needed
Responds accordingly to routine and emergency requests
Monitors and actively patrols building and client property
Provide information as necessary to tenants, clients, visitors, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements & Qualifications
Customer Service Oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Ability to speak clearly, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in emergencies
Able to interpret, write, understand, and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions as needed
Capable of working both independently and effectively in a team setting
The ability to effectively interface with all company departments and act professionally in a highly dignified manner.
Ability to qualify for a California Guard Card
The ability to stand in one area for extended durations between required breaks.
The ability to pick up, carry, and move a package/object/equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
Positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and takes initiative.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
