Hi there! My name is Lauren.
I am looking for a caring, peaceful, sunny communal home or sunny ADU.
I am warm, responsible, clean up after myself, very rarely drink or do drugs, and I spend 1/2 to 2/3rd of the time at my partner's home.
He and I will likely move in together around Aug 1, 2024.
Basic info about me: I’m a 35 year old home Health Physical therapist, I'm typically out working between 830am-4pm, then often exercise after work.
(Sunset bike rides, HIIT classes, climbing, sometimes yoga) Interests: Mindfulness, nature, plants/birds, my family, my community, dance, being physically active.
My lifestyle: I see home as sanctuary, and like to keep things organized and beautiful, especially my room and the kitchen.
I don’t like leaving dishes in the sink, and even if I’m running late, I can’t generally can’t help but clean up after myself.
I’m typically out of the common space by 10, shower in the am, and cook 3-4 nights per week around 7: 30/8 until and up to about 9/930 pm.
I am also partnered and spend about 1/2 to 2/3 the time at my partner’s house.
I'm about a 50-50 introvert extrovert, and meditate daily.
What I'm looking for: a sunny west-facing window in a pleasant, safe area of Berkeley.
I'm happy to live alone in an ADU, or share with 1-4 other people.
I can offer trade to help with home health physical therapy too! I specialize in fitness and mobility for folks 65 and wiser ;).
My stance on community living: I lived in a 56-person graduate student coop for 5 years.
After some travel and crashing with my folks during covid, I've been living communally again for 2 years.
I've found SO.
MUCH.
JOY.
living with people who are kind, open-minded, compassionate communicators, and who have built a warm and caring rapport.
Healthy relationships make it so easy to say things like: "bud, would you mind putting these dishes away?" Or "I have to wake up really early tomorrow, would it be ok if we have Quiet O'clock by 930 tonight?"
Wishing you the best, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
Lauren
