*Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our San Mateo immediately.
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic candidate who loves working with a team and already has experience in the Grocery business.

We offer a fine blend of gourmet, international and natural foods, prepared foods/bakery products, meat, wine, catering, beverages and cookware products.
This position is Non-Union and reports to the Store Director.
Salary range: $32/hr to $33.
75/hr depending on experience.
*Principle Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but not limited to):*
* Greet each customer in a friendly manner.
* Above all, customer service skills are a must, including handling difficult customer service issues etc.
* Employee relations and problem resolution
* Cash reconciliation and bookkeeping
* Leadership and Team Building
* Merchandising experience required
* Inventory Management
* Directing and assigning tasks to team members
* Opening and closing the grocery store
* Vendor relations
* Responsible for total store operations in the absence of the store manager
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to customer service
*Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* 10+ years of grocery experience
* 5+ years of grocery management experience
* Bookkeeping experience
* Good organization skills
* Basic computer skills
* Efficient in the check stand
* Knowledge of grocery products.
* Possess excellent interpersonal skill and ability to communicate effectively with customers, other team members and leadership.
* Able to lift 40-50 pounds for closing shift duties.
* Familiar with the operation of the cash register system.
* Able to work a variety of shifts primarily weekends and evenings, and holidays.
