Hello,
My roommate will be moving to the east coast and I’m looking for a medium term roommate to fill the room (1 to 2 months).
The photos show with very special pieces of furniture of mine to make this as thoughtful of a room as possible to highlight all the features of this space.
The space will likely be unfurnished but let me know your preference.
About the room
1) Amazing natural light, even though we have shorter days now.
You won’t be missing out on some health dosage of vitamin D.
Window is facing North East and you will pleasantly wake up to rays of light coming through the densely sheer curtains furnished with the room.
2) Hardwood floors (warm finish) that makes for a cozy room if you’d like to layer it with a rug or two.
No carpet here.
The hard surface with varnish also allows for light to bounce off and create lightness through the room.
3) Can be furnished with a massive solid walnut wood desk (71” wide and 30” deep) that will make work from home a delight.
It is a light and crispy design but the desk is actually solid wood and very heavy.
This can be moved into storage if you prefer your own desk.
4) Can be furnished with a walnut full bed.
This room can fit a queen comfortably but I got a full for it as a guest room for the time being.
Similar to the desk, the bed is entirely lifted to allow light to come through.
This also can be moved into storage if you prefer your own bed frame.
5) High ceiling 9’0
6) Master bedroom with a spacious walk in closet
About the apartment
1) fully furnished living room and common spaces
2) fully furnished kitchen
3) new refrigerator
4) new sink faucet
5) 2 adorable cats (they are 5 years old, if you’ve always wanted fur babies but didn’t want the responsibility this might be a good fit for you)
About me
1) mid 30s
2) Mom to 2 boy cats
3) New plant mom
4) Work in office 4 days out of the week.
About the neighborhood
1) 2.
5 blocks away from Lafayette Park.
Minutes away from an amazing amenity outdoor space for outside workouts and outdoor picnic.
2) Close to Polk Street, lots of restaurants, good for take out
3) Close to Fillmore Street, also lots of restaurants and boutique shops
4) Closer to Whole Foods than to Trader Joe’s but you can easily walk to both
5) Close to Japan Town, good restaurants, and also some retail shops
Rent is $1550 / month.
I prefer at least a 2-month lease and we can discuss extending it thereafter.
Utilities (electricity and internet) is separate.
Security Deposit is $2000 without furniture in room.
If you're interested in having the room furnished, +$1000.
Move-in is flexible, ideally I'd like to find someone no later than Feb 1st but if you're looking to move in earlier in January, there is flexibility.
Looking for a female roommate late 20s - early 30s, gainfully employed and financially responsible.
Ideally you are mindful of living with another person and is capable of being a thoughtful being.
Appreciates a clean and tidy apartment consistently.
Honestly, looking for a good match more than anything else.
I view my home as a sanctuary and will appreciate a roommate that does not bring long term S.
O.
over (expecting Covid SIP etiquette).
I am a clean and considerate roommate and will keep the common spaces of the apt clean and tidy.
If the above sounds like a good fit, please send an email and tell me little about yourself.
