Position Overview:
Comprehensive understanding of philanthropy, prospect development, and prospect management.
Execute strategies to ensure that newly identified prospects are presented and assigned to appropriate fundraisers in a timely manner.
Validate and analyze wealth screening results and use them to segment prospects, create reports, and inform follow-up strategies.
Compose prospect research documents (profiles, bios, event briefings).
Interpret and extract key information, including giving histories, which helps to direct cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Capture and input prospect research into CRM, ensuring its accessibility to fundraising staff for future strategies.
Research gift prospects on a reactive and proactive basis and make appropriate assignment recommendations to gift officers.
Assist in creating and maintaining fundraisers’ portfolios with the most appropriate donor prospects via identification and assignment of new prospects and prioritization of existing prospects already in portfolios using best practices and operating procedures.
Conduct collaborative portfolio consultations meetings with individual fundraisers using key reporting metrics and fundraisers’ knowledge of individual prospects.
Collaborate with business intelligence and other internal data partners, to identify, create, and/or improve ratings, model scores, metrics, as well as any other internal or external datapoints, to enhance all prospect development-related processes (e.
g.
, prospect assignment, prospect management, portfolio optimization).
Communicate and train gift officers on policy and process recommendations created by the prospect management team to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Consult on and interpret prospect and portfolio reports that support metrics and goals in partnership with leaders and gift officers, thereby tracking success and growth of prospect management

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Highly proficient in MS Office Suite and database management.
Project management skills, communication skills, both verbal and written.
Interpersonal skills utilizing a high level of tact and diplomacy.
ability to provide detailed information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts.
Detail oriented, thorough, extremely well organized, initiative and follow-through, ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
