Job Description:
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting Rakuten’s strategy and go-to-market (GTM) for product positioning and competitive differentiation across all stages of the b2b ustomer journey.
This includes marketing campaigns, content, sales collateral and training to support awareness, discovery, purchasing decision and the b2b customer experience to support exceptional customer satisfaction.
This role will focus on building brand awareness, educating the market, driving demand and a positive experience for Rakuten’s b2b customers.
We are looking for a dynamic marketer to create breakthrough marketing ideas that inspire audiences, encourage product adoption and engagement, and build long-term customer value.
Being able to tell a story that brings an audience-focused, modern approach to campaigns, programs and content that drive results at scale is a must! Reporting to the Manager of GTM, you’ll work closely with a cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Product team to develop compelling, differentiated product messaging and positioning.
Develop and partner with Sales Enablement to educate internal teams on our b2b products, the value propositions for each, and develop compelling messaging that will address their needs for the jobs to be done.
Create and deliver product demos to illustrate Rakuten’s capabilities, differentiators, and benefits for practitioners.
Closely collaborate with management to build compelling, high-performing marketing campaigns that contribute to increased sales pipeline and new customer acquisition.
Become an expert on the market, competitive landscape, and buyer needs and behaviors, with documented materials and regular presentations to educate internal teams.
Conceptualize, write copy and provide art direction for educational and value-based product content for a variety of channels and purposes.
Create compelling marketing content that maps to integrated marketing campaigns and product promotion themes (blogs, white papers, guides, emails and videos) and maintain development plan for resourcing and coordinated campaign planning.
Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with an eye for quality, creativity and attention to detail.
Build and maintain a strong collaborative partnership with product management, engineering, sales, marketing, and other functions across the business.
Experience + Qualifications Required 4+ years in B2B product marketing with proven success in launching new products and/or new GTM product promotion Strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills with previous experience working cross-functionally Excellent writing skills for creating content and collateral (including white papers, data sheets, web copy, social media copy, case studies, etc.
).
Success working with customers to generate case studies, referrals, testimonials, and other customer references Exemplary critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to pivot with changing requirements and priorities.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong command of project management.
Demonstrable impact working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced global matrix environment Experience with WordPress or other HTML and Content Management Five Principles for Success Our worldwide practices describe specific behaviors that make Rakuten unique and united across the world.
