Responsibilities:
Set up standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies, frequency counters, and circuitry) to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production systems in a safe manner
Collect, log, analyze and interpret test data
Indicate test status on all product tested by stamping the product identification tags
Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems which may require collaboration with electrical engineers and other personnel
Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and/or after assembly
Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments
Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations
Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment
Complete certificates of compliance when needed
Qualifications:
Two (2) years electronic/electrical testing and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering is preferred
Working knowledge of the proper use of electrical and mechanical test and inspection equipment, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, scales and other equipment
Demonstrated understanding of using Job Packets
Basic computer skills, use of e-mail and Microsoft Office software
Ability to understand electrical schematics and basic mechanical drawings and documentation
Ability to work on Printed Circuit Boards, basic soldering rework skills
Ability to work with electronic test equipment and hand tools in a manufacturing production test environment; DMMs, oscilloscopes, pulse function generators, etc.
Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
Interact with employees, vendors, customers and visitors in a professional manner
Ability to read, speak and legibly write in the English language
