Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's payables and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
This is a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure all payables are properly recorded
- Manage vendor relationships, including resolving payment discrepancies and responding to inquiries
- Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts payable transactions
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and payroll management
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- Solid understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.
