Job Title: Director, Investor Relations Location: Menlo Park, California To build a viable long-lasting health care organization that assumes full responsibility for designing, developing, trial enrollment, regulatory approval and commercializing patient, physician, caregiver, payor, and societal friendly medicinal therapy intended to improve quality of life, increase potential duration of life and resolve serious medical healthcare needs.
We will accomplish this by building a team of world class scientists and business administrators that apply themselves to this mission.
Summit Activities We have in-licensed Ivonescimab, which is a novel, potential first-in-class investigational bispecific antibody combining the effects of immunotherapy via a blockade of PD-1 with the anti-angiogenesis effects associated with blocking VEGF into a single molecule.
We plan to initiate phase-III clinical studies in the following NSCLC indications: Ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated, locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who have progressed after treatment with a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) (“HARMONi”) Ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy in first-line metastatic squamous NSCLC patients (“HARMONi-3”) Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy that is not approved by any regulatory authority.
It is currently being investigated in Phase III clinical studies.
Overview of Role: Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for developing and executing investor outreach strategies, managing program initiatives and IR calendars; planning, coordinating, and executing financial reporting events and materials on a quarterly and annual basis; interacting with investors and research analysts; triaging incoming investor/analyst requests; planning and executing NDRs and participating in financial and industry conferences.
The position will also support the CFO in corporate FP&A activities including long-range planning and providing financial analysis support for key decisions.
The Director, IR is expected to develop key communications strategies mainly addressing the investor community and shape cohesive communications plans as part of a cross-functional corporate communications team that includes Senior Management, Finance, and Legal.
The ideal candidate will have background experience as either a banking/research analyst and/or Biotech Investor Relations Role and Responsibilities: Manage investor outreach strategy and IR calendar, including coordination of roadshows, analyst interactions, and professional/scientific meeting interactions with Wall Street.
Develop key messaging and timing of communications for the investment community around key product and program milestones.
Communicate frequently, proactively, and reactively with institutional investors and research analysts.
Draft earnings announcement press releases, conference call scripts, and Q&As while supporting the development of other corporate press releases.
Prepare investor presentations and follow-up materials.
Conduct peer research, targeting, and quarterly updating of target lists.
Strategize, pitch, and coordinate participation in investor/banking/industry conferences.
Maintain active investor/analyst database of interactions with the financial community.
Partner with numerous functions in the company including Corporate Communications, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Program Management, and Clinical Development to enable accurate and optimal creation, evolution, and delivery of key messages, and to ensure that investor communications are aligned with communications across all external audiences.
Maintain fact sheets and IR sections of corporate websites.
Support SEC filings and development of annual report.
Monitor industry-wide investor relations developments and provide guidance when necessary.
Provide accurate, consistent, and timely responses to all external inquiries from investors and analysts.
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, and the ability to identify issues and raise to key stakeholders in order to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in investor relations with a demonstrated understanding of the biotechnology industry.
Bachelors degree in business, finance, or related major.
MBA preferred.
Additional education in healthcare a plus Public biotech company experience with commercialization.
Experience and comfort interacting with investment bankers, institutional investors, and research analysts.
Comfortable working with IR databases and research/benchmarking projects.
Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders.
An ability to influence for greater outcomes.
Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in writing investor facing communications.
