What to Expect
We are looking for a Cost Engineer who will support the Direct Global Procurement team by developing advanced Should-Cost Models, analytical tools and systems to ensure we can make first-principles based decision on spend.
This role will provide exposure and opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of business functions including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Design, and Finance.

What You’ll Do
Develop ground up based Should Cost Models within a commodity, across several different manufacturing processes and product sets
Understand manufacturing processes and related CapEx, labor, raw material costs and other inputs needed to manufacture components that drive cost
Create databases and systems to be able to track cost and spend data, at both the CapEx and component level
Develop and track program spend and report outwards regarding budget status
Work cross-functionally with program management, engineering, supply chain, and finance
Standardize reporting of cost down initiatives between engineering and Finance
Ensure cost down projects have resources appropriately allocated and are meeting timelines dictated by program management
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent professional experience (Finance, Accounting, Engineering, and other technical degrees are a plus)
Strong data analysis skills (e.
g.
Excel, R, SQL, Python, etc.
)
Detail oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in cost analysis and analytics for automotive or hardware development

Expected Compensation
$64,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
