Graduate Intern – Medical Affairs, Medical Insights, Oncology As a Gilead intern you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company’s mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world.
You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities and local community volunteer programs.
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with TA Medical Insights lead in oncology, to support Medical Insights Strategy execution for planned lung cancer launch Engage in tactical activities included in the 2024 lung launch Insights plan, working across several projects/timelines under the guidance of a manager the Medical Insights team Use software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, to create graphs, charts, spreadsheets, and presentations to represent data trends representative of medical insights Provide administrative and coordination support for Medical Insights Operations including developing key insights questions, deploying data capture survey, and support for cross-functional insights forums Help create monthly metrics, reports, and dashboards for Medical Insights team May perform miscellaneous administrative tasks such as proof-reading documents and ensuring appropriate updates to Insights electronic file management system Under Manager’s direction, create draft reports, documents, presentations and templates using raw data.
Assist with putting together POA therapeutic area slide decks, in support of Medical annual planning cycle Maintain documents on Med Affairs and Medical Insights Operations SharePoint site Showcase your work with a final poster board presentation near the conclusion of your internship Required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Must have a minimum GPA of 2.
8 Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship now or in the future or CPT/OPT through your University.
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Masters/MBA/PhD/PharmD program at an accredited US based university or college Must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior as a Graduate or Doctoral Student Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with MS Office Suite Ability to identify issues and seek solutions Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment A Life Sciences-related degree.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills (including ability to network) Fluent in English Excellent time management ability and organizational skills, including the management of multiple priorities and resources Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook) is required Must be willing to comply with all regulatory/compliance policies.
