OBO This beautiful vintage canopy bed is believed to have been built in China in approximately 1880.
It is comprised of gorgeous solid wood that is embellished with all over carved and painted designs of mythical creatures such as dragons, Chinese symbols, vines and flowers.
The bed frame itself has interior measurements of approximately 6’ wide and 57” deep.
A rail around the mattress area runs on three sides and has a pattern of flowers, leaves and Chinese lettering on each side of the flower designs.
The base is comprised of a carved apron with flowers, leaves and design details.
The two fabulous wide front feet feature intricate carvings of dragons, flowers, and leaves.
Above the rear bed area in the center is a detailed wood parquet pattern with a vase and flowers.
This bed is in very good condition, but be aware and keep in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear including a couple of broken trim pieces.
