This is a very old antique cobbler's table in original vintage condition (read = very rustic), showing the years of use as a cobbler's work table, with dents, shoe black, and rusted nails.
I inherited it from my aunt who relocated to the U.
S.
from Europe, and she may have bought it in Europe (she frequented French, Swiss, and Scandinavian antique shops and flea markets.
)
The table top is attached using wooden dowels and has a raised edge to keep the cobbler's nails from rolling away.
You could cover the top with burlap or other material to hide the stains if you don't want to look at them, or sand the top.
The sides and back are open and show the two drawers.
The top drawer is missing a pull.
This is a very unique conversation piece that would fit in with rustic cabin style, boho, or Southwestern decor.
