Antique Cow Cattle Stanchion James Scully ? Head Gate Ranch (Dehorner) - $95 (woodside)

This is an antique cattle / livestock head gate.
Good working condition for age.
The only name on it is "James".
The wood has some wear (see photos) but is still secured to the steel or iron frame.
I could not find any information on this.
If you know what era this is from please let me know.
The only related items I found with the "James" name are James Scully cattle dehorners.
I don't know if those are the same manufacturer as this.
I don't know if there is a way to adjust this for different size openings.
There seems to be only one setting.
