Hello all,
I’m selling my project SL500 as I am moving yo Tokyo and have no time or place for my beauty.
This is the only reason I’m selling.
To save time, please look at the pictures and the Pro/Con list below.
Pros:
-Nothing mechanically wrong with the car; car has always been kept in excellent mechanical shape— oil changes every 5000 miles and all scheduled MB maintenance.
I just pushed it above 160 at the track in December.
-All Original features and parts, including car phone (you’d need to purchase the handset).
All repairs done by licensed MB Technicians with OEM parts.
-All major features of the car work (power windows, windshield wiper (including moisture detection), defroster, A/C, Heater, Seat Heater, Convertible Pump, etc.
-Just changed Vacuum Actuator Pump last month ($750 fix)
-Always babied and loved
-Super Low Milage
-Passed smog with flying colors last November
Cons:
-Faded Paint (tried to show this in the pictures)
-Interior panel uncoupled, pictured (entirely cosmetic, ~$250 fix)
-Passenger side window leather wear (no estimate here, but again, entirely cosmetic)
-Current Rust on rotors, entirely surface level, comes off with resurfacing
-Needs Oil Change at 85K ($150)
-Needs Transmission Fluid Exchange at 90K (sooner if you drive city; ~$250)
-Needs Passenger Side rear tire ($200; full size spare on right now)
All in all, if you’re looking for a car that absolutely rips at low mileage, is a project car you can drive off in, but also could use some personalization, this is the car for you.
I’ve taken off what I thought was fair based on the KBB valuation— I’m open to reasonable offers.
Best,
Jesse
