*The Children's Place Preschool* is a non-profit early childhood education program located in San Carlos, California.

We offer a variety of programs for children aged 2 through Pre-Kindergarten, including full-day and part-day options.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team in our play-based STEAM-enriched program.
As a preschool teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports the unique needs of our youngest learners.
This is a position requiring a minimum of 12 units of early childhood education.
*Responsibilities:*
* Foster a warm, nurturing, inclusive, classroom environment that encourages children's social-emotional development, independence and positive behaviors.
* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate play-based STEAM focused activities that promote language development, social-emotional growth, fine and gross motor skills.
* Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress and maintain accurate records of their growth and development.
* Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to update them on their child's progress and collaborate with them to support their child's learning at home.
* Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to maintain a positive and cohesive team environment.
* We are open year-round, offering a full day program for children 2 years through pre-K.

*Requirements:*
* A minimum of 12-units of early childhood education
* Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
* Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing circumstances
* Passion for promoting children's love of learning through developmentally appropriate play-based activities
