San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is currently hiring for the position of *IS Engineer-Senior *within their Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITT) Division.

* *Applications Specialty:* The *Senior Applications Engineer *will report to the Enterprise Bus and Integration Team Lead under Innovation and Solutions within ITT and will be a full-stack engineer who possesses capability on the front-end and back-end components of software applications.
This role will be responsible for the design and implementation of the graphical user interface of an application and the supporting data services such as web services, micro services, messaging services, and streaming data services.
*Network Specialty:* The *Senior Network Engineer* will provide planning, design, implementation, and third level support for all Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN) on the airport campus, in a service provider framework.
*Systems Specialty:* The *Senior Cloud Engineer* will design, deploy, debug, and execute initiatives related to cloud computing.
This role will also maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage, cost optimization, and adherence to security policies.
This role will also collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions and educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
This role will work closely with cross functional teams, including developers, quality assurance engineers, and system administrators, to drive cloud initiatives and practices.
This role requires hands-on knowledge and understanding of the cloud system administration principle.
The *Senior Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Engineer* will be responsible for automating and streamlining ITT’s software delivery process.
This role’s primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure the efficient and reliable deployment of SFO’s software applications.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance engineers, and system administrators, to drive continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
This role requires expert hands-on knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle in relation to the continuous integration and delivery of services in the cloud at scale.
*Duties and Responsibilities* Responsibilities will vary depending on specialty area and team assignment, general duties and responsibilities are as follows: • Determine requirements for the development or enhancement of large complex systems or networks that serve as a data processing backbone for SFO’s information technologies infrastructures.
May research and conduct feasibility studies on new technologies.
• Design, plan, integrate, test, implement, document and enhance the physical and logical components of large complex systems or networks.
This may involve the analysis and evaluation of systems software, hardware and communications strategies.
• Perform complex systems integration for interoperability over dissimilar platforms and technologies.
This may involve the integration of various protocols, systems software, hardware and communications platforms.
• Determine the proper installation parameters for software and hardware for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network.
• Write complex "user exits" to customize large systems software which may involve specialized programming languages.
• Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
• Act as the liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and departments to resolve complex systems or network problems.
Coordinate and implement corrective measures; this may involve site visits, telephone assistance, remote systems or network management, and participation in technical committees.
• Facilitate the demonstration and training of staff in the use of new hardware or software products.
• Plan, implement, maintain and coordinate upgrades/updates/fixes for core operating systems and their related components, without negative impact to the overall availability and reliability of the enterprise systems/networks.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting techniques related to systems/networks software and hardware; develop and review documentation prior to general distribution.
• Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for large systems and networks.
• Ensure that management procedures do not negatively impact users or system performance; communicate with managers regarding system performance and operational issues.
Suggest improvements to management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications:* *Education*: An associate degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.
e.
, at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in computer science or a closely-related field].
*AND* *Experience:* Three (3) years of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network.
*Substitution:* Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years).
One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units/ forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in computer science or a closely related field.
*Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Clearance:* Candidates for employment with the San Francisco Airport Commission are required to undergo a criminal history record check, including FBI fingerprints, and Security Threat Assessment in order to determine eligibility for security clearance and may be required to undergo drug/alcohol screening.

Failure to obtain and maintain security clearance may be basis for termination from employment with the Airport Commission.
