A Day in the Life We are on the hunt for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with leadership potential to join our forward-thinking technical team.
In this critical role, you will be the linchpin between software development, QA, and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our operations and processes.
You will be instrumental in building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues across our development, test, and production environments, ensuring our software delivery and infrastructure management processes are agile, efficient, and secure.
The Impact You’ll Make Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for a range of projects, guaranteeing smooth and dependable deployment of software and updates.
Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and scaling across various environments (development, staging, production) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a focus on scalability and high availability.
Proactively monitor system performance, design, and implement strategies to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, ensuring high availability and performance at scale.
Integrate security practices into development and deployment processes, manage and configure security tools and services, emphasizing the importance of a security-first approach in scalable solutions.
Collaborate with development teams to comprehend requirements and implement DevOps solutions that support scalable development workflows.
Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to improve and scale the development and deployment processes.
Document DevOps processes, practices, and tools related to scaling solutions, and mentor junior DevOps team members in these areas.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role, with a demonstrated track record of developing, maintaining, and scaling CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
Expertise in cloud services (e.
g.
, AWS, Azure, GCP), with hands-on experience managing and scaling cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, with a focus on scalable infrastructure solutions.
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.
g.
, Docker, Kubernetes), particularly in scaling and managing containerized applications.
Solid scripting skills (e.
g.
, Shell, Python, Groovy) and experience with automation tools, with an emphasis on automating and scaling complex systems.
Deep knowledge of version control systems (e.
g.
, Git), CI/CD tools (e.
g.
, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals, security protocols, and best practices, especially in the context of scaling secure, high-performance applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proven track record of scaling solutions in high-demand environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of mentoring team members and interfacing effectively with other departments on scaling initiatives.

Total compensation at AppLovin is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
