Consider before submitting an application:
This position is expected to start around May 2024 and continue through the entire Summer term (i.
e through August 2024) or into Fall 2024 if available.
We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying.
You must be able to work 40 hours per week.
Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

What You’ll Do
Energy | Firmware Intern, System & Gateway Controller
The role ensures the accurate testing and coverage reporting of embedded code running on Tesla Industrial Energy products included Battery Storage and Supercharging products.
In addition, the role includes designing and maintaining embedded hardware and software test environments that simulate real world system interactions and report automated results on a regular basis

System integration team is looking for an amazing intern who is passionate about our mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.
As a system integration and test automation intern, you will support hardware/firmware integration and test automation of the next generation energy & EV charger products
What You’ll Bring
Working towards a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.
D Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or equivalent
Experience with Python, C/C++

Energy | Firmware Intern, System & Gateway Controller
Develop, enhance and debug testing software in Python
Develop and debug system level firmware in C and C++
Attention to detail shown through continuous improvements and following best development practices
Remain engaged, proactive and positive while solving very challenging problems
Experience with RTOS, peripheral interfacing (CAN, Ethernet, SPI) and networking protocols (TCP, IP, UDP).
Desired experience with Protobuf and UDS
Energy | System Integration and Test Automation
Support hardware/firmware integration and system testing of Tesla Energy Products including high power grid-connect batteries, EV chargers and solar products
Hands-on testing, debugging, and troubleshooting on real hardware
Support firmware validation and regression testing at the full system level
Develop test automation scripts in Python
Design and implement next generation test systems, i.
e.
fault injection setup and multiple asset integration
Experienced in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems including the use of lab tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc
Participation on electromechanical systems projects - e.
g.
, robotics, formula SAE, solar car
