Position Summary:
This role involves the design of complete and complex acoustic systems.
This requires functional development and integration of the software, hardware and mechanical aspects of product, systems, and components to ensure that the resulting functionality meets the device performance requirements of the acoustic system.
Responsibilities & Duties
Hands on development, qualification, and implementation of new ultrasound systems, integrating mechanics, electronics, and software to manufacture and inspect critical medical devices components.
Characterization of ultrasound transducers using acoustic radiation force balance, hydrophone measurements and Schlieren imaging.
Influences future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.
Provides multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
Oversees and manages the design and development of test methods/procedures to characterize the electrical and acoustic system performance.
Systematically identify, analyze, and resolve complicated problems and system weaknesses in existing measurement methods and systems.
Generating and executes test plans, verification, and test method/software validation protocols.
Generates system interfaces and develops business systems applications.
Requirements
Experience with design, development, and validation of measurement systems.
Bachelor’s +10 years’ Experience / Masters+7 years’ Experience in Medical Device is required.
Experience with Python, Matlab, C++
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, action oriented and result oriented.
Support the development of intellectual property.
Commensurate with training, experience, skills, etc.
