What to Expect
Tesla Infotainment team is seeking an enthusiastic Power Design Engineer to own and drive the development and validation of the power subsystem for the Infotainment board.
This Engineer will be responsible for delivering reliable, efficient, and cost-effective power architecture as well as designing, analyzing, and optimizing power supply systems.
This role will involve a deep understanding of switching regulator technologies, power integrity considerations, and hands-on experience with components such as inductors, capacitors and MOSFETs.
What You’ll Do
Power Architecture, understand system-level power requirements and perform power budget analysis
Power Supply Design, design and development efficient switching regulator for each subsystem.
Design and development digital multiphase controller and smart power stages for advanced CPUs, FPGAs, GPUs, and ASICs
Documentation, Schematics/layout, and Reporting
Thermal Analysis
MOSFET Circuit Design
Inductor and Capacitor Selection
Power System Modeling
Component Characterization, characterize and select components, including inductors, capacitors, and MOSFETs, based on performance and cost requirements.
Power Integrity Analysis, perform power integrity analysis to ensure stable and reliable power distribution within the Infotainment board.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience with power supply controller techniques and feedback loop design.
Hands-on experience with power supply testing and validation
Knowledge of power electronics and semiconductor devices
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and reliability
Proficiency in using design tools such as Altium, Cadence, or equivalent.
Proficiency in simulation tools such SPICE or PLECS
Strong understanding of switching regulator topologies and power supply fundamentals.
