Locations Possible: Palo Alto, CA What You’ll Do As an AI Inference Software Research Intern within the Autonomy group, you will have the opportunity to fine-tune, deploy, and optimize large neural networks for efficient inference on heterogenous edge devices (CPU/GPU/AI ASIC).
The nature of the role is multi-disciplinary - you will be working at the intersection of machine learning and systems.
You will build the frameworks and infrastructure that enable the seamless deployment, integration, and inference of all neural networks that run on Autopilot and the Humanoid Robot.
You will develop system tools to benchmark, characterize, and optimize the latency and throughput of AI workloads on the FSD chip Design, train, and optimize large neural networks for efficient inference on heterogenous compute Build a real-world AI product deployed at scale across cars and robots What You’ll Bring Expertise in state-of-the-art model optimization techniques, preferably with publications in top conferences Proficient in Python coding Proficient in PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax, or other machine learning frameworks Proficient with state-of-the-art model optimization techniques Experience with training and deploying neural networks in a research and/or production setting Understanding of computer systems and architecture Compensation and Benefits Benefits As a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
