Tesla’s Vehicle Software team is looking for outstanding interns who are passionate about driving the world’s transition to a sustainable future! We are hiring highly motivated candidates for the position of Technical Program Manager Intern.
Internship roles in our teams provide significant independence and ownership of projects, while still providing excellent mentorship and guidance.
As a TPM intern, you will be required to wear many hats and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
You will see direct impact as you ship new software to our global fleet.
You may be responsible for driving end to end feature development across multitude of functional areas and/or end-to-end launch coordination of Tesla’s over-the-air (OTA) software releases.
What You’ll Do
Own and drive multiple independent and collaborative projects to completion, including end-to-end development cycles from requirement gathering to launch
Manage and communicate scope, schedule, and launch changes smoothly while ensuring continuous communication to leadership, stakeholders, and team members
Define and drive tasks to be performed by technical contributors
Communicate with technical team members to understand progress as well as roadblocks, and escalate when necessary to enable cross-functional success
Prioritize scope and feature lists to build product roadmap
Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule despite setbacks
Be the bridge between Tesla’s technical teams and external partners.
Collaborate with Tesla commercial teams to ensure Tesla’s requirements are clearly communicated and met by external partners and providers
What You’ll Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in STEM or related field of study with a graduation date between 2024 - 2025
Able to work a minimum of 16 weeks or longer
Prior experience in technical program management, product management, or managing consumer electronics software programs is ideal
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or software release process
Ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment while managing conflicting priorities, and achieving tight launch schedules
Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
Prior experience with software development and program management tools (Ex: JIRA, GIT/Stash, Confluence) is preferred but not required

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
