That's where you come in! LOCATION This role is located at our headquarters, in Redwood City, California.
We expect you to visit the office 2+ days per week on average where you can enjoy our full-service coffee bar and catered lunch.
WHAT YOU'LL DO You will collaborate with, learn from, and mentor a strong group of accomplished engineers Drive is responsible for nearly 40% of files uploaded and edited on Box — you'll be directly contributing to a critical area of Box's growth.
You'll be exposed to and will contribute heavily to the design, planning, implementation, and execution on the development and full stack of the Mac version of our Box Drive application.
Expect to partner with other Box engineering teams and have exposure and influence on a broad set of topics - from the public Box APIs to Realtime event notification to the user experience design and implementation.
Work with our Customer Success team resolving corner cases discovered by the largest organizations in the world.
WHO YOU ARE Required: 5+ years of macOS development experience, are fluent in Swift and/or Objective-C, and are experienced with Cocoa and/or SwiftUI Passionate about the Mac platform and value the importance of great user experience Familiar with macOS frameworks relevant to file management and system extensions, like the File Provider Extension You have strong design and architecture skills You are familiar with unit and functional testing methodologies You have a history of collaboration and success in small, high-velocity teams You have excellent problem solving and debugging skills Bonus Skills: Experience with the macOS or iOS File Provider Extension API 2+ years of C++ or Python development experience Experience building enterprise software or business critical systems.
Knowledge of low level filesystem design and implementation.
Cross-platform development experience with both native Mac and Windows applications.

Actual base salary (or OTE if commissionable role) is dependent upon factors such as: knowledge, skill level, experience, and work location.
