We’re searching for a number of experienced Software Engineers to join our team and help set the foundations of the company.
You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining different systems from the ground up including the Lumino protocol, AI training, cryptoeconomics mechanisms, and our customer facing tools.
We are looking for strong all round engineers, however, if you do have relevant experience in one of the specialized areas mentioned below then we’d love to speak with you.
Day to day duties
Design, build, and maintain the Lumino protocol for training and fine-tuning AI models
Develop the Lumino node
Design and implement customer facing tools such as our CLI and web UI
Research and develop frameworks to train AI models
Build, test, debug, and deploy large-scale decentralized systems across thousands of nodes
Own projects end-to-end, from requirements, scoping, design, to implementation, in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.
Protocol Engineer Specialization
Develop and test blockchain protocols and smart contracts
Lead the process for internal and external smart contract audits
AI Infrastructure Engineer Specialization
Design, build, and maintain execution frameworks to train models on decentralized hardware
Develop scalable systems to handle models, datasets, and training procedures of all sizes
Build highly available, observable, performant, and cost-effective APIs for model training
Requirements
3+ years of software engineering experience
Experienced in designing, building, and scaling production systems
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
Proven experience in writing high quality and well tested code
Experience working with a cloud-native tech stack (e.
g AWS/GCP)
Protocol Engineer (all above +)
2+ years of software engineering experience in building low-level protocols
Strong knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts, and consensus algorithms
Experience in Rust or Go
AI Infrastructure Engineer (all above +)
2+ years of software engineering experience in building machine learning pipelines in a production setting
Experience with distributed training techniques
Strong knowledge of model and data parallelism techniques
Nice to haves
Previous experience in a startup environment
Previously built a L1 or L2 blockchain
Exposure to decentralized model training like Moshpit SGD
Contributions to open source projects
Built a compiler
