The Payment Platform supports the marketplace e-commerce for consumers and providers.
It is a pillar to accelerate Snowflake’s Marketplace and the core of every monetization product.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to build our new Payment Platform.
To be successful in the role, the candidate needs to have significant experience in software engineering and domain expertise in databases and/or payment systems.
AS A PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Drive highly impactful initiatives from idea formulation, to design, and to implementation.
Innovate and Build a reliable and scalable Payment Platform leveraging Snowflake technologies.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, other engineering team members and finance/revenue teams to build new features and products for business needs.
Identify the improvements in our systems, data models, functional gaps, and design and build the solutions.
Provide a technical roadmap for the team.
Provide technical guidance to other engineers.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
15+ years of software development experience
Extensive and strong development experience in Java and SQL.
Technical leadership, strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in databases and payment systems is a plus.
BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
The estimated base salary range for this role is $235,000 - $368,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
