The Role:
This Staff Software Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our data automation and transformation initiatives.
As a Staff Software Engineer in the Data Products Transformations team, you will have a pivotal role within the team that is responsible for adding pre-ingestion and post-ingestion transformation capabilities to SnapLogic AutoSync, which enables customers to synchronize data to Cloud Data Warehouses (CDWs), and SnapLogic ELT, which enables our customers to create data transformation logic visually to process data within a CDW.
We are seeking an independent candidate with outstanding technical abilities, who is passionate about technology, is willing to take on a technical leadership role, and has the willingness to go the extra mile for our customers.
What You'll Be Doing: Contribute to the on-going development of Transformation capabilities in AutoSync and ELT.
Introduce cutting-edge features to enhance functionality and solidify our position as a market leader.
Work in a fast-paced, outcome oriented, cross-functional team environment.
Cycle between projects in weeks rather than years, while working closely with customers to harden an early stage product as it achieves product market fit.
Be able to quickly debug complex issues in code and figure out the root cause, using tests (unit and integration) to validate the work.
What We're Looking For: At least 6 years of experience working as a software developer.
Proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies like Java, Python, JavaScript and frameworks like React and Node.

Extensive experience with Java in a multithreaded environment, with a complete understanding of object-oriented programming and software complexity.
An absolutely understanding of the importance of building modular and maintainable code, testing, tooling, and debugging to ensure market-leading code quality.
Experience in engaging with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs.
A customer-centric view of products and processes and a passion to strive for customer excellence.
Passion to tinker with generative AI and machine learning technologies to craft innovative features within the product is a bonus.
An opinionated, assertive, collaborative team player.
Ability take an ambiguous problem and navigate with clarity.
As a supportive mentor, ability to guide fellow engineers, helping them advance to the next level.
Excellent communication skills, are comfortable working with little supervision, and have a preference for taking initiative.
Bachelor's or Master’ degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

base pay range for this position.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed.
In addition to base salaries, certain roles are also eligible for annual cash bonuses or commissions.
