Dispatcher

Responsibilities: - Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for a fleet of vehicles - Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods - Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery progress - Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying documentation and ensuring accurate inventory counts - Dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver goods according to customer requests - Monitor driver performance and adherence to safety regulations - Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues Skills: - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members - Proficient typing skills to accurately enter data into transportation management systems - Knowledge of transportation management systems, GPS, and fleet management software - Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for route planning and optimization - Understanding of supply chain processes and logistics operations - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Problem-solving skills to address unexpected situations or delays in delivery Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
