Your Role:
As our Head Teacher, you'll be the heartbeat of our preschool, leading by example and shaping the educational experience of our young learners.
Your passion for early childhood education will shine through as you mentor and support our team of teachers, fostering a collaborative and uplifting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership.
Lead by example, inspiring and guiding our team of teachers towards our shared vision of excellence in early childhood education.
- Curriculum Development.
Collaborate with teachers to develop engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Classroom management.
Ensure that classroom lessons run smoothly without disruptive behavior from students compromising the delivery of instruction.
It includes the prevention of disruptive behavior preemptively, as well as effectively responding to it after it happens.
- Transitions.
This is where behaviors can occur.
Must be able to think on your feet and able to transition children and teachers from one activity to another.
- Teacher Support and Development.
Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to empower our teachers to grow and excel in their roles.
- Parent Engagement.
Build strong partnerships with parents, fostering open communication and collaboration to support each child's unique learning journey.
- Cleanliness.
Maintain the classroom cleanliness by leading the team in schedules cleaning.
- Administrative Duties.
Ensure the team helps children meet developmental milestones through evidence of learning, teacher scheduling, classroom supply lists, and maintaining compliance with CDSS safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a preschool teacher, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
