POSITION INSIGHT: Izzi has a vision to increase our impact on the children and families of San Mateo County through expanding our core services.
This position will be leading to Increase school readiness outcomes for all children, especially in the areas of math and language and literacy.
Increase CLASS scores for all classrooms.
Increase understanding and fidelity of DRDP Observations.
Increase implementation of selected curricula with fidelity (Creative Curriculum, SEEDS, Parents as Teachers).
Implement a new system of individualization based on a multi-tiered system of support model.
Design, develop and implement support and instructional strategies to support dual language learners.
Design, develop and implement approach to support math skills in young children.

Responsible for developing the School Readiness Goals (annually).
Co-leads with the Deputy Director the School Readiness Advisory Committee.
Responsible for aggregating & analyzing the child outcomes for the School Readiness Goals (annually and School Readiness Plan (every 5 years).

Leads the training & technical assistance for all staff.
Collaborates in planning & coordination of staff development activities & training.
Provides training & serves as a resource to teaching personnel to further enhance their skills & provide on-going technical assistance.
Child Observations & portfolio development.
Curriculum planning that is reflective of individual needs of all children.
Set-up & main learning environments.

Oversees the orientation support and training for new teaching staff.
Updates the Children Services Educational Manual yearly.

Collaborates with Children Services, Home Based & FCC teams in evaluating strengths & non-compliance issues.
Administers & updates Learning Genie & DRDP Online.

Supervises & collaborates with the internal & external coaches.
Supervises Big Lift Literacy Lead & supervise other positions as needed.
6.
Participates in the onsite/off-site training & program meetings as assigned.
7.
Collaborates with the QRIS to plan & schedule evaluations for each classroom as needed.
Assists in preparing the budget & any required reporting.
Attends the CSPP Director Meetings & participate in monthly coaching meetings.
8.
Performs other duties as necessary to ensure program compliance & quality services to Head Start/Early Head Start parents & children.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience & Skills/Knowledge: • Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Human Development or related field • 3-5 years supervising experience in a child care setting.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, preferably in state funded or Head Start program • CLASS certified • ERS certified preferred • Willing to acquire needed certifications (QCIT, PITC etc).
• Knowledge of child development principals, community care licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, parents and public agency personnel; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications & Google Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint/ Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and Slides APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS: We require all applicants to submit copies of transcripts, degree(s) and any certification along with the cover letter and resume.
