Location: Atherton
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; Family can guarantee 40-45 hours per week
Children: 2, 4, 8, and 14 year olds; Candidate will often team with one additional caregiver
Duties: Childcare, occasional overnight care, driving children, attending classes with children, managing children's schedules via Google calendar, helping with homework, cooking for children, children's laundry, light housekeeping, pet care, traveling with family two to four times per year; Family appreciates help with family laundry and meal preparation as time allows
Requirements: Ideal Candidate is warm, calm, nurturing, organized, attentive to safety at all times, able to follow through with positive reinforcement and discipline, an open and direct communicator, and a quick learner who is teachable and takes initiative.
Candidate who has experience caring for multiple children and working for a big family is a plus.
Candidate should be comfortable caring for all four children for a few hours at a time (typically in the afternoons and on weekends), although never for a full day; Candidate will often be teaming with Mom or another Nanny, whose schedule will overlap with Candidate's schedule for a few hours midday.
Candidate must be comfortable and willing to care for older child with special needs, including dressing, changing diaper, feeding via g-tube, bathing, carrying wheelchair, and lifting child occasionally.
No special needs experience is required, Family will teach and train a patient and loving Candidate.
Family has had long-term Nannies for many years and views
them as an important part of their family, so they are seeking a Candidate who would like to be a valuable member of their team long-term.
Candidate must swim and must be tech savvy in order to manage children's Google calendar.
Candidate must be comfortable with dogs and chickens, and must drive; Family will provide a vehicle for use on the job.
Candidate must have or be willing to obtain updated vaccinations, including COVID, MMR, Tdap, and flu.
Salary: $38-$43 per hour plus benefits: guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid sick time, paid holidays, and health insurance contribution

* Recent, long-term, professional (paid) experience with children with excellent references.
* Ability to drive and a valid California driver's license
* Able to work legally in the United States
* Able to make at least a one-year commitment, ideally longer
