The Preschool Teacher works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other center team members to implement curriculum and lesson plans in the classroom while supporting our inclusive environment with an emphasis on cognition, behavior, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.

ABOUT THE ROLE: Support day-to-day operations of inclusive preschool classroom and ensure overall health/safety of the program (including allergy awareness and other dietary restrictions) and adherence to licensing standards Supervise and guide of all children in classroom, including planning and implementing classroom activities Collaborate with Lead Teacher on ongoing development, evaluation and oversight of the child-centered, play-based curriculum and activities Provide care for each child’s needs including changing diapers and assist with self-help skills Responsible for effectively communicating and clarify school policies and philosophy to parents, teachers and staff Responsible for answering parent questions regarding daily care Support DRDP reports, documentation, and evidence collection Communicate with Lead Teacher, Inclusion Teacher, and center team regarding all aspects of children’s care Partner with Lead Teacher to maintain a warm and inviting classroom environment that is clutter free with organized age appropriate materials.
Partner with Lead Teacher to maintain a print rich environment.

Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Education preferred Early Childhood Education Teaching Credential preferred Preferred 12+ core ECE units as per Title 22 requirements but not required- we will help you get your ECE units Experience teaching children ages 2 – 5 years old HIRING REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Driver’s License/ID Clean Driving Record (if applicable) Proof of negative TB test results Verification of occupational physical clearance Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance 18 years of age or job permit clearance PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Employees have the opportunity to share access needs during the interview process, upon hire, and ongoing throughout their employment.
