Solid walnut Mid-century Modern stereo console.
Fisher stereo components include receiver and amplifier, AM/FM radio, turntable (spindles for both 33’s and 45’s are intact), cassette player/recorder with original microphones, and two speakers.
Cabinet is made of solid walnut with a central lid that lifts to reveal the stereo, and is in excellent used condition.
Cabinet is 68 inches wide, just under 30 inches tall, and just under 20 inches deep.
Console is being sold as-is.
The stereo unit turns on when the unit is plugged in, but the individual components aren’t working.
Unclear if the problem is component-specific, or related to a problem with the receiver or some other core part of the stereo.
All wiring appears to be intact.
Original manuals are still with the unit.
Happy to see this console go to someone who appreciates vintage stereo and hi-fi, Mid-Century Modern furniture craftsmanship, or both.
The piece could be restored as a stereo, used for a salvage/rebuild project, or repurposed as a Mid-century Modern sideboard.
Please note that this is solid, HEAVY furniture that will require a truck with a ramp and/or two very strong people to move it.
