This Toudouru lantern is highly detailed from top to bottom.
Three sacred pagodas rest on each other descending in size from
small to large.
A large Houju (sacred jewel) resting on a wide circular base on top of a square base crowns the Pagoda.
All three Kasa (rooftop) vertical roof edges have raised bands ending with a ball finial.
The upturned corners are Warabide.
The Kasa (rooftop) horizontal roof edges are scalloped.
The Kasa are carved to resemble roof top tiles.

rooftop is hatched.
Each Pagoda roof top Kasa (rooftop) sits on wide square Hibukuro (fire/light box).
The rectangular Hibukuro have large ornately
carved light openings resembling windows on each side.
The Hibukuro (fire/light box) sit on narrow square Chudai (fire/light
box base).
