This position will play a key role in advising on Meta's export, import, and sanctions compliance programs, as well as providing legal support for our broader trade compliance initiatives.
Associate General Counsel, Trade Compliance Responsibilities:
Counsel and advise on export controls, including deemed exports, and import matters for business transactions, product offerings, and other activities
Assist in the design and implementation of company-wide compliance programs and initiatives, including compliance policies, processes, and training
Undertake special projects and support other compliance program initiatives
Travel domestically and internationally as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
J.
D.
degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.
S.
state bar
8+ years of attorney experience with US and EU export and import regulations at a law firm or in-house with a multinational corporation
Presentation and communication experience
Record of legal and business judgment and strategic thinking
Preferred Qualifications:
A mix of of regulatory, law firm, and/or in-house experience
Experience handling issues involving US and EU sanctions regulations
Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
