Meta seeks a highly motivated, energetic technology enthusiast to serve as Product Counsel on Meta's Product Counseling team.
This role will work closely with product, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams, as well as other legal department subgroups, to tackle cutting-edge legal challenges on a global scale for Messenger and other messaging experiences.

Associate General Counsel, Product Messenger Responsibilities:
Review global products, features, platforms and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including consumer protection laws, data protection laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks
Coordinate with public policy, privacy, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues
Enable product teams to move quickly by proactively identifying and helping to resolve areas of potential legal risk
Serve as the first point of contact for your product team’s legal questions, and for the broader legal team’s questions about your product
Minimum Qualifications:
J.
D.
degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience
Experience working with mobile, application development, social networking, or other Internet companies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working independently and cross-functionally
In-house and privacy experience
Experience working with technology litigation
Experience working with product review
