The Corporate Paralegal assists and supports various corporate matters including assisting with commercial contracts, trademark infringement and takedown, combatting third party scams, researching and tracking new laws relevant to our team, assisting with responding to select inquiries from client questionnaires, certifications and requests for proposal, and maintaining various logs and spreadsheets.
Responsibilities:
Receive, collect, assess and file reports regarding trademark infringement, scams, securities and other matters, as well as creating and maintaining spreadsheets of same
Coordinate with and collect information from the team, other stakeholders, outside counsel, and vendors as necessary in IP, contracts and compliance matters
Submit IP infringement complaints and draft cease-and-desist letters under supervision
Research and track new and existing employment, privacy, and other laws to assist in compliance
Perform first-level review and revision of commercial contracts under supervision
Understand our business and carefully review client inquiries and certification requests so that you can respond to the client's questions while protecting Robert Half
Maintain project report detailing the matters the team is working on
Proofread legal documents for spelling, grammar, and consistency
Corporate legal projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Direct incoming information requests and collaborate with internal clients, executives and external legal professionals
Qualifications:
BA/BS or paralegal certificate
Knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook and Excel, and basic accounting concepts
Notary/ Ability to obtain Notary License.
Criminal background check required.
Ability to be self-directing and work independently while being resourceful and well-organized.
Can establish and meet deadlines, and follow up with others as needed.
A fast learner with high attention to detail.
Skilled in communication, writing and reading comprehension; able to interact professionally with executives, outside counsel, clients, and other departments, maintain confidentiality and privilege, and to gather information from other corporate departments.
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
